Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate: A Luxury Resort Day Without Booking a Hotel

Lucas Oliveira • October 21, 2026

Looking for things to do near Davenport or Haines City? We spent the day enjoying a luxury resort's pools, lazy river, and wave pool for just $25 per person.

Looking for something fun to do near Davenport, Haines City, or the surrounding Central Florida area? You might be surprised to learn that you can enjoy the amenities of a luxury resort without actually booking an overnight stay.

We recently visited the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, located just outside Polk County in neighboring Osceola County, and had a great experience.

Even better? We paid just $25 per person through ResortPass!

A Luxury Resort Just Outside Polk County

The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is located at 1500 Masters Boulevard in ChampionsGate, Florida.

Although technically located in Osceola County, the resort is conveniently situated near Davenport, Four Corners, and other communities in Northeast Polk County.

For us, traveling from Haines City took approximately 30 minutes, making it an easy option for a local day trip.

While the resort is well known among Orlando tourists, it's also a great recreational option for Central Florida residents who want to enjoy a vacation atmosphere without traveling far from home.

What Does the Omni Orlando Resort Offer?

One of the most impressive features of the resort is its extensive selection of swimming pools and water attractions.

The property features:

  • 850-foot lazy river: Perfect for floating around and relaxing.
  • Wave pool: A fun alternative to traditional swimming pools.
  • 125-foot waterslide: A winding waterslide that's especially popular with families.
  • Family swimming pool: A spacious pool with nearby children's water attractions.
  • Adults-only pool: A quieter area for adults looking to relax.
  • Poolside food and beverage service: Enjoy food and drinks without leaving the pool area.

During our visit, we spent much of our time enjoying the water amenities and relaxing with poolside service.

The property offers a nice balance between family-friendly recreation and quieter areas for adults looking to unwind.

How We Visited for Just $25

Here's something many local residents might not realize: You don't necessarily need to be a registered hotel guest to enjoy the resort's amenities.

We booked our visit through ResortPass, a service that allows visitors to purchase access to participating hotels and resorts.

We visited in October and paid just $25 per person for our passes.

However, it's important to understand that $25 is not necessarily the standard admission price.

ResortPass pricing varies depending on the date, demand, availability, and type of pass selected. We visited during October, which may have contributed to the affordable rate we found.

The resort offers different experiences, including day passes, afternoon passes, and private cabana rentals, each with different pricing and inclusions.

There are also additional expenses to consider. Food, drinks, spa treatments, and other optional services are generally separate from your admission. Parking arrangements and any associated charges should also be confirmed before visiting.

For anyone planning a trip, we recommend checking the total price and exactly what's included before completing your reservation.

You can explore available passes through ResortPass at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

More Than Just Swimming Pools

Although the pools were the main attraction for us, the Omni Orlando Resort offers much more.

The property features Mokara Spa, where visitors can explore massages, facial treatments, and other relaxation services. Certain spa packages may also include access to additional resort amenities.

There are also multiple restaurants and lounges throughout the property, including Trevi's, David's Club, and Zen.

For visitors interested in additional recreation, the resort offers golf facilities, miniature golf, and other activities.

Keep in mind that some experiences require separate reservations or additional fees.

A Great Alternative to the Theme Parks or Beach

Living in Central Florida has plenty of advantages, particularly when it comes to recreational activities.

However, not everyone wants to spend an entire day at a theme park, drive to the coast, or book an expensive hotel room just to enjoy a swimming pool.

That's what makes this experience particularly appealing.

For residents of Haines City, Davenport, Winter Haven, and surrounding communities, Omni ChampionsGate offers an opportunity to enjoy a resort-style atmosphere relatively close to home.

It's especially worth considering if you don't have a swimming pool at home or access to a community pool.

Whether you're planning a relaxing afternoon, spending time with family, or simply looking for something different to do over the weekend, this is an option worth exploring.

Is Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate Worth Visiting?

Based on our experience, absolutely.

The property was enjoyable, the variety of swimming pools and water attractions was impressive, and having access to a luxury resort without booking a hotel room made the experience even better.

At the $25 per person admission price we paid, it was particularly good value.

Of course, your total cost will depend on the admission price available when you book and how much you choose to spend on food, drinks, and other activities.

If you're planning a visit, we recommend checking ResortPass in advance to compare pricing, availability, and exactly what's included with your reservation.
